History Echo is a student-led civic history project created by Nicholas Wang to help students connect overlooked historical stories with today’s questions of justice, citizenship, environmental responsibility, and public accountability.
The site features Nicholas’s original history documentaries, short articles, student resources, and future history workshops. History Echo shows that history is not only about the past; it is a way to understand the responsibilities we inherit today.
What We Do
Share original documentaries and short, research-based articles about overlooked historical events
Connect history to modern civic questions such as civil rights, environmental justice, citizenship, public health, and public accountability
Provide student resources for National History Day, History Bee, historical writing, documentary projects, and public speaking
Develop future history workshops to support younger students through research, storytelling, and civic learning

History Echo uses the past to inspire civic awareness, historical curiosity, and responsible action. By studying people who challenged injustice and demanded accountability, we hope to help students see history as a living guide for understanding the world around them.
